After nearly nine years, Nayanthara wanted to use Naanum Rowdy’s love songs and behind-the-scenes footage for her wedding documentary.
After two years of persistent efforts, Netflix decided to refocus the documentary on Nayanthara’s life rather than the wedding because Dhanush for the old sake refused to give her a NOC. However, the actress used a three-second video that she had taken with her phone during the filming of Naanum Rowdy Dhaan. This prompted Dhanush to give her a Rs 10 crore notice. Nayan wrote the now-viral open letter as a result of this.
“The movie’s budget overrun and creative disagreements were two major causes. Ramesh revealed that Nayanthara triggered their rift by mocking Dhanush’s award win for the same movie, telling him, “My producer doesn’t like your acting,” right in front of him at the event.
